It turned out she was badly constipated and they gave her an enema. Also did bloodwork and x-rays. Very expensive. But she seems much better.

Oldest Brother came and joined me at work afterward an after work we met up with [livejournal.com profile] mashfanficchick, her mother, and Mandy for carvel. Then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Mets playoff game with dinner. *sigh* The Mets lost, but we had a good time.

Bed now, very late.

Gratitude List:

1. Oldest Brother.

2. Friends.

3. My credit card.

4. Carvel.

5. Work went well.

6. Sybil is OK.

My vet told me whenever my cats seem a little constipated to add ONE drop of liquid glycerine to their food. You should be able to get it a pharmacy. It is what human antic constipation suppositories contain - to put not too finer point on it - the glycerine lubricates the passage.

cats get constipated for all kinds of reasons - make sure Spyder drinks enough and go easy on the kibble. If you're feeding Spyder a special diet, it isn't a bad idea to change it for a day or two - we get constipated if we eat the same thing all the time, so do cats.

Thanks for the tips. It's Sybil who was constipated, I think I will change her food.
