No lamb over rice for dinner!

Work went OK, I got some more paperwork out of the way. Got a phone call from Middle Brother's group home to update my address with them. Crazy thing, when the administrator left her cell number she didn't leave her area code! Could be many different things... I called the main home number and left it that way.

But anyway, after work I quickly did some necessary shopping in Flushing, then went to where the halal cart that I habitually get Tuesday night dinner parks... and it wasn't there! It NEVER moves, ever! I just hope that nothing happened relating to the current political situation. So for a quick dinner I ran into Burger King and had a Big Fish sandwich. But I miss my lamb over rice.

Went to my meeting after that which was small but good. And then home, and now to bed. Found the ballot for the vote on our new contract waiting for me. The terms are acceptable, thankfully.

Gratitude List:

1. My meeting and the people there.

2. Dry feet after they got soaked in the rain this morning.

3. Some of the kids at work.

4. New union contract avoids something which was threatened.

5. Bed soon.

6. Rain had stopped by night time.

I fell asleep thinking about the halal cart and worrying they moved or went out business in response to the election. I hope that isn't the case and they return to their usual location by this time next week. Do let your readers know as I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one worried.

Do they serve things other than lamb? Not that I'm likely to be customer what with living in Michigan, but lamb and my stomach are enemies and I'm curious.

They serve lamb, chicken, and I think fish, usually over rice, though you can get the lamb as a gyro. I will check to see if they are back the next time I'm in that part of town, Tuesday if not before. I don't think that it was because of the current political climate, but there is just that worry in the back of my mind. So we'll see.
