Carvel Night!

silver_chipmunkWork was about normal, a little busy as Wednesdays frequently are. I dd the Teen Lounge with the teens, and it worked out quite well.
After work the FWiB called. It was his first day of chemo, and he felt tired and had a back ache from it but otherwise alright. We had a nice conversation as I went into the main part of Flushing. I refilled my Metrocard, and then got a new overnight case for $10 from Jemboro. That's to take when I go to The Kid's this weekend, because I had nothing but my suitcase, which I usually use for my vacations at the cottage, and my big duffle bag, which is good for a a convention, but really to big for a one night trip. After I bought the bag I went to the bank and then bought some honeydew bubble tea.
Then I textedmashfanficchick about Carvel, and she spoke to her mother, and said yes we would go, and have Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. So I decided to walk home to meet them but then changed my mind and chose to take the bus. Bad choice. The bus broke down a block or so after the stop, right on Northern Blvd! The driver wouldn't let us out because of safety issues and we had to wait til the next bus came and blocked the street so we could get off safely. I walked from there.
Got home in time to charge my phone awhile before they picked me up. Went and had Carvel first, then a brief stop in Target, then Buffalo Wild Wings. Had a good time.
And now I'm feeding the cats and going to go to bed.
