Saint Patricks Day for All Parade

silver_chipmunkGot up and went to a brief breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts. Then went to meet mashfanficchick. She had told me there were problems with the 7 train and I should take an alternate toute, so I took the 44 bus to Hillside Ave/Sutphin Blvd. and the F train from there. Meet her in the Starbucks, and we took the 60 bus to the parade. We ran into someone on the bus who was also going to the parade, to watch though, not march, but she needed directions so we told her to follow us.
Got to our assembly point and found that there was just Larry and us for both banners (PFLAG, and Bisexual Network) so we took the Bisexual Network one and he took the PFLAG. The parade was nice, there were a few protesters as always, but nothing much. Interestingly the route goes right past the apartment building where The Kid and SIL lived when they shared with Cody. I took a couple of pictures.
After the end of the parade th three of us went around the corner to Donovan's, a great Irish pub, and we had lunch. They had live music in the bar area, which was nice. I had corned beef and cabbage and potato. It was delicious. I texted the pictures I took to The Kid, and she replied, which was nice.
After lunch we took the subway back tomashfanficchick's stop, where her mother met us and drove Larry home, and then drove us to Target. We got presents for Middle Brother's birthday next week.
Then back to her apartment where I called the FWiB and talked briefly, and then we ordered sushi, cause nothing says marching in a parade like raw fish on rice. And we watched the movie Moonstruck, which I had seen when it first came ut in the 80s, but didn't remember so well. It's really a fun movie.
And then they brought me backk here, and that's all. A very busy day!
