silver_chipmunkThose who have been on my f-list since my ex-husband left will perhaps remember that when he moved out I was away visiting a friend in Vermont, Rae. I knew her through Starsky and Hutch fandom.
Well, for some time she has been battling cancer, and some months ago she stopped chemo and went into palliative care. Today her family let it be known that she died peacefully this morning.
She was a sweet, lovely person, loved animals, and creative things, was a fanfiction writer, and will be much missed.
So that's my downer for the day. Aside from that, I had breakfast at the bagel place, and went to my meeting. Then I came home, stopping at the drugstore on the way to pick up my meds, and Skyped the FWiB. It was after that I heard about Rae, and I spent some time textingmashfanficchick and facebook messaging Dori, who both also knew her. Dori especially is very upset, they were very good friends. We are going to try to go out later in the week, the three of us, to say goodbye.
mashfanficchick's mother is driving the Kid to visit friends in Jersey City tonight, but I hope the Kid can join me and mashfanficchick and possibly Dori in the city tomorrow for Christmas shopping.

5. The weather wasn't as bad as yesterday.
