Family Day

Started by sleeping a bit later than I intended, but not badly. Ate breakfast and then Skyped the FWiB until he had to leave for lunch. The Kid called just at that point, and we talked a bit.

Then I showered and got ready to go. Made my way to [personal profile] mashfanficchick's mother's place, where the Kid keeps her car, and waited there for her. She was late of course, but that's understandable under the circumstances.

Anyway, we got to Aunt Helen's only a half hour late so that wasn't bad. Oldest and Middle Brothers were already there. We had a great meal of lasagna, and mushrooms as a side, and the sangria that Oldest Brother brought, and all was good. Then we opened presents. I got some tea from Brianne, and moe shirts from both Aunt Helen, and John and Denise.

We talked a lot, and laughed a lot, and it was lots of fun. Denise cut Oldest Brother's hair for him again, and it looks much better. And then it was time to go. John and Denise offered to tke Middle Brother back to his group home, which was a great help. I texted [personal profile] mashfanficchick in the hopes we could get together for the evening, but it didn't work out.

So the Kid and I drove back and parked the car, and took the subway to our respective homes. She texted me that she got home OK, which I wanted to know because the subway was running funny.

And now it's the end of a lovely day.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. All my family.

3. Good food.

4. New clothing.
