Tiring day
Feb. 26th, 2020 10:35 pmI had another "hard to get out of bed" day, but was finally jolted out of bed by my doorbell. It was the super, to collect the "do you have children under six, and do you need window guards?" form, which I had actually already mailed in two weeks ago. But at least it got me out of bed.
Anyway, the boss called out sick so I ended up doing the reserves and the in-house count, all of which took me til exactly 12:00, when I had to take the desk for an hour, so by lunchtime I was exhausted.
Then in the afternoon I did the teen lounge, which went very nicely today so I was happy about that. Also I got an e-mail from the boss in the morning, directing me to come up with two special programs for the week of May 10th through 16th tied in with the 125th anniversary which we're celebrating. I was supposed to figure this out by noon. In the rush of the reserves and in-house I forgot all about it but was reminded by Lauren, who got a text from the boss. So I thought of some things really quick and e-mailed her back.
Anyway, after work I Skyped the FWiB, and then again after I got home. Then i called
mashfanficchick, who still feels crummy from her cold, but was able to go out for Carvel and dinner. We did the pho place in the mall near the movie theater that we went to once before. Its good.
While I was waiting for them, I continued reading False Value, which has an interesting plot tie in with My Employers, who I do not name here, though if you can't figure it out you haven't been paying attention.
Anyway, now back home, waiting for Oldest Brother to call.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Friends.
3. Good books.
4. Ice cream.
5. Came up with two good ideas.
6. Good food.
