Cancelled programming again

silver_chipmunkMade it to work on time, that being 9:00 today, bah, humbug. Ended up cancelling my Teen Lounge because the children's person cancelled her program first. We are expecting all programs to be cancelled soon, anyway.
After work I met up withmashfanficchick and her mother at 20th Ave. and we went to Carvel for our sundaes. We discovered that they are having free flying saucer day on my birthday, so that's nice.
Then we went to Target, and got some stuff. I discovered that they were selling Irsh soda bread, so I got a loaf. Then we went to the mall across from the movie theater to get takeout for dinner becausemashfanficchick was too tired for eating out. I got poke from the Japanese place there. We did some quick shopping at Stop and Shop, and then they brought me home.
I Skyped the FWiB while I ate my poke. It was pretty good, not as good as the place in the city, but acceptable. After we Skyped, only for awhile because it was late by then,I gathered up my recycling into bags, and had a slice of the Irish soda bread. It's acceptable.
Then I went and read on my Nook. I'm reading Frostfire and Thorn, the first of a duology from the 80s. I have the second one, Frostflower and Windbourne too. There really should have been more, they are so compelling, but the author, Phyllis Ann Karr, never wrote another. She wrote at least one short story about them, which I've read, but I don't know if any of the other stories she wrote were about them. I would like to know.
Anyway, that was my day. I shall say nothing of the news, which is pretty uniformly bad.

6. Saw a blooming tree today, pink flowers, so maybe a cherry. And a robin.
