Day 59: More N. K. Jemisin stuff

silver_chipmunkI had trouble getting up, but finally did, and had breakfast and coffee.
Got e-mail frommashfanficchick about a Museum of the City of New York virtual program today, a conversation with N. K. Jemisin, so I was very interested in that.
Did some stuff that counted as work, watching some videos about the app Overdrive.
After that I Skyped the FWiB and we had a nice conversation. Then I started reading a book I had here in the house, not sure where I got it, maybe the Strand, maybe work, that turns out to be the second in a series. So after reading the first chapter, I downloaded the first book and that been reading that. It's called a YA series, the first book is called Flamecaster. Seems pretty good so far.
Then Denise called me. We had a nice conversation, she is supposed to send me e-mail addresses tonight but hasn't so far. I am going to try and set up a Zoom meeting for the Kid's birthday on Friday.
At 6:30 I started watching the N. K. Jemisin conversation, which was, not surprisingly, about The City We Became. It was very interesting, but I had some volume problems with the other person in the conversation. Sometimes I could barely hear her.
After that I tuned in to the Thurber reading but found it was cancelled sue to his allergies. So I just wet and had dinner. Then went too the bedroom to wait for Oldest Brother to call, in the meantime I played solitaire and e-mailed with M from my meeting.
Oldest Brother called and then while we were talking the Kid called through. We agreed I'd call her back after I got off, but she didn't pick up when i did. Grrr.
Let's see if this is going to cross post or if I have to do it by hand.
