Day 77: Took down laundry!
May. 31st, 2020 10:14 pmGot up this morning feeling tired even though it was after 10. I ate breakfast and had coffee and puttered on line and was still tired so I went and lay down meaning to read, and fell asleep for about an hour and a half. Got up just in time for the FWiB to phone me because I wasn't answering his e-mail and he was worried I wasn't getting it. Which made me feel good.
Anyway, at that point I did start reading, and I did that until the FWiB was done with what he was doing, which was having a visit from his wife, and then we Skyped.
After Skyping, I texted the Kid to find out if she had gone to a demonstration today, but she hadn't. She is going to one on Tuesday, though. I hope she's OK.
I also texted
mashfanficchick to see how she was. She had a bad neck and didn't want to talk, so we agreed she'd get in touch later.
Then I did what I've been meaning to do for days and got a load of laundry together and took it down to the laundromat and dropped it off. The thought of clean laundry haunts me! Clean clothing!
Then I lay down and read again. Finished The Queen of Nothing, and after thinking about what to read next for awhile, I decided on Spinning Silver by Naomi Novak. I've been curious about it, and I've heard good things about it.
That took me til 7:30 when I came out to the living room to get ready for the Thurber reading.. Had fun with that.
Then dinner, and puttering on my phone til I called Oldest Brother.
And then I fed the pets and here I am.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The Kid.
3. Clean laundry coming!
4. Tomorrow the Starsky and Hutch solstice calenndar opens.
5. Green tea ice cream for dessert.
6. Good books.
