So it's the 76th anniversary of D-day and we're still fighting fascists. *sigh*
The day started out really nicely, I got my pearls that the Kid ordered for me for Mother's Day. That was the vari-color and vari-shaped necklace, and the black pearl spider broach. They are just as good as the catalog! I called the Kid to tell her they came.
Then I ate breakfast and had coffee and read stuff on line. And finally Skyped the FWiB. We had a nice talk, and after that I went to the bedroom for awhile and puttered on the phone.
I came back out and puttered on line. Paid a few bills, then I facebook messaged Herschel and we had a talk, and texted the Kid to find out if she was going into the city today.
And I made a $50 donation to Libertyfund.nyc in memorty of Mom and Dad. Because their mission meshes so well with Mom's job, and I think they would approve.
I posted on facebook that if I could make memes I could make one with a background of D-day and the date and that it was a big day in Antifa history. And Herschel, bless him, made me a meme, not quite that, but close enough. It says June 6, 1944, Antifa wins it's first big victory. Which isn't quite true, there had been victories in Africa and Italy, but I'm not arguing with him when he was so kind as to make it for me.
Anyway, I ordered dinner through Seamless, and then watched the Thurber reading. Then I went and read until I called Oldest Brother.
Fed the cat and turtle, and here I am.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Herschel.
3. The Kid.
4. My pearls came safely.
5. Antifascism.
6. The Starsky and Hutch solstice calendar.
