Day 94: Human contact!

silver_chipmunkWoke up this morning to a call from M from my Tuesday night meeting. We talked a bit and after that I lounged in bed for awhile. Got up, got dressed, and got a bag of recyclables together, and then went out. My new sandals that I was worried about not showing up showed up before I went out, so I wore them to try them. They look nice and are comfy but not very good quality.
I also got a call from my psychiatrist, just to check up on me. All is well.
Anyway, I got cereal and breakfast, as usual a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll from the bagel place. While I was at the bagel place I got an invitation to another staff talk, this one on the Map Division, and I just had time to get into it without being to late when I got back. So I had that to put down for work today. I also worked on my Youth Tech project. I'm almost done with it.
Anyway, after that I puttered on line, and then Skyped the FWiB. While we were talking the Kid called me, and I took the time to have her help me with my absentee ballot for the primary. So now that's ready to be mailed out.
mashfanficchick called. Ze and zir mother were going to Stu Leonard's and wanted to know if I wanted rice pudding. I said yes, and some bananas. Later ze called and said there was no rice pudding, and did I still want the bananas? I said yes.
I went to my bedroom, meaning to read but ended up playing solitaire on my phone. Then at 7:30 I came out to watch the Thurber reading, forgetting that it's Wednesday, and no reading. But he had Tuesday's posted, so I watched that. It was Thurber on the Loch Ness monster, which I gather he believed in. I made myself a rum and coke, the first in quite awhile, and drank it while I watched Thurber.
While I was watching that,mashfanficchick got here and we had a nice conversation, suitably socially distanced and masked. So that was super nice.
I finished watching the Thurber and then had dinner, and was eating the last of the green tea ice cream when Oldest Brother called, and we talked. Nothing new.
Then I started writing here, and the Kid called again, so we talked.
And that's the day.
Tomorrow I have a staff meeting, we're going to discuss the opening. I am also going to ask my boss if I can cancel my week of AL in July and reschedule it for September, and try to go to Ohio to see the FWiB then.
