Fourth of July

silver_chipmunkHappy Independence Day to my fellow Americans.
I spent the day with Oldest Brother. The Kid was invited but didn't want to come. We went to the big park in College Point again, bringing sandwiches from Supremes and stuff to drink. We sat in our folding chairs under a tree, not my favorite tree but next to it, and watches the people go by. We had ice cream from Mr. Softee. It was a lot of fun.
We saw what I am certain was a Peregrine falcon! Right near us. Oldest Brother had bought his binoculars, so I used them to get a good view. Fantastic!
Then we came back to my place, stopping at 7-11 first, getting milk and more ice cream. Then when we got back here we watched the Macy's fireworks show. It was pretty spectacular. We had a couple of gin and tonics during the early part of the show.
Then I fed the pets, and ate our ice cream, we puttered on youtube for a while.
And now I'm waiting for him to call and let me know he's safely home.
