Ventured outside in the heat

silver_chipmunkWorked during the day, though truthfully most of it was reading a download of one of the books on the summer reading program list. And downloading a different app to read it with than the one I had been using, which didn't work properly.
The kid called just before lunch, and wanted to show me something, so we had a nice visit by Zoom during my lunch break.
I got two deliveries, the turtle food I ordered, and the small, cheap lap desk I ordered. Which is indeed small and cheap but will come in handy on occasion.
After work I got dressed and went out into the heat in order to get milk and also my prescriptions. It was pretty hot but there was a breeze blowing so as long as I was in the shade it wasn't too bad. I was glad to get home though.
The Kid called, and we talked for awhile, then I got off to Skype the FWiB. We talked for not as long as usual because by then it was late, and i had to get to my meeting.
The meeting was just me and M, and she had technical difficulties, but we managed to make it a good meeting anyway.
Then dinner, with ice cream for dessert. And then I went and waited for Oldest Brother to call.
Talked with Oldest Brother, fed the pets, now doing this. Looking forward to bed.
