Monday VIP visits

silver_chipmunkHad two different VIP visits, because the Powers That Be want to see us all before we reopen. Which, btw, i can now say is going to happen a week from today. We heard last week but it was hush-hush til this week. Of course when I say "open" it means grab-and-go service. Picking up holds and returning books only, all supposed to be contactless.
But to get to the VIP visits. One was from the president of the library, who came around without any retinue, which impressed me. Usually when the VIPs come around the have a gaggle of lesser VIPs with them. The other was from another very high up, the something-or-other director of the library, who did come with someone else, the boss's boss. Both visits went forward without a hitch.
We also had an online meeting on preparation for starting Monday. That was less than fascinating.
Aside from that, i finished shelf-reading the YA fiction. Starting tomorrow though there will be more serious work to be done getting ready for next week. I work from home tomorrow but I will be swept up by it the following day.
Anyway, came home and Skyped the FWiB. We had an extra long talk to make up for yesterday. After we got off, i went to the laundromat to pick up my laundry.
Came home and had dinner, was just finishing it up when the Kid called. We talked, though with long pauses while she did stuff and I did other stuff, until Oldest Brother called.
And then I fed the pets, and started here. After I get done with this I shall pay my rent, and then have ice cream!
