Feeling sort of depressed
Aug. 3rd, 2020 10:22 pmIt was a work from home day, and i started late. But I chugged along, I finished the summer reading book I was reading, Ash, by Melinda Lo, which is a LGBTQ version of Cinderella, and very sweet, and started a totally different one.
I somehow got the picture frame working normally, I have no idea how, and I kept it on all day rather than risk it going back to the loop.
During my lunch I started going through more pictures to put on the frame, and I started feeling very lonely and sad, thinking about the good times in the past. That persisted most of the day.
After work I Skyped the FWiB, and that made me feel better. Then after we spoke I put my dishes from yesterday away and had dinner. Then I called the Kid, or actually, before I had a chance to, she called me. I told her I was just starting to eat dinner and could I call her back, and she agreed, so that's what I did.
We talked until the Thurber reading, and then I got off to listen to that. And then after Thurber, I called her back again and we talked until Oldest Brother called, when I got off and talked to him. Everyone is well, mostly, he did a double shift today and another one tomorrow.
And now it is time to go to bed. Tomorrow I head in through the tropical storm to the branch for my first day of grab-and-go service. At least the weather should keep people away.
And that's about all.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. The Kid.
3. Talking on the telephone.
4. Good books.
5. The picture frame is working... for now.
6. It's a tropical storm, not an out-and-out hurricane.
