Back at work

silver_chipmunkI got up on time for once, so I got to work very early. I had hoped to, to check on my carton of half-and-half and see if it was still good after two weeks. It was, it has a sell-by date of Sept. 15, so it'll be gone long before it expires.
Anyway, work was OK. It's interesting now that we're into the swing of the grab-and-go mode. I spent a good portion of the day working with periodicals, specifically People magazine. Apparently all the mail for the months we were closed was delivered while I was on vacation, and there was a huge pile of magazines. The boss farmed them out to the rest of the staff to process rather than waiting for me, but these People magazines didn't get entered properly.
After work the Kid called for a brief time, but it was too noisy to talk so we got off. I came home and went to the little grocery store and got cereal and green tea ice cream. The cereal was the only type of Cheerios they had, chocolate peanut butter, and I bought it out of a sort of morbid curiosity to see what it was like. I'll report tomorrow.
Skyped the FWiB, and then had dinner, and green tea ice cream.
Then I called back the Kid and we talked for awhile. Oldest Brother called while we were talking and I called him back after we were done.
Fed the cat and turtle, and that was the day.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. I didn't get rained on.
3. Green tea ice cream.
4. My computer hasn't over-heated and shut down again.
5. Quiet day.
