Update on Oldest Brother

silver_chipmunkHe's still in the hospital of course. They didn't do the MRI yet, they will tomorrow. They did a sonogram of his carotid arteries, which were fine. His blood sugar was very high so they started him on insulin, his cholesterol was very high so they put him on a statin, his blood pressure was very high but they are just monitoring that because if he did have a stroke, dropping his blood pressure quickly could cause more damage. He's showing some weakness in his right side. He's still having trouble communicating but seems to understand what's said to him. They are going to have the infectious disease specialist look him over to see if he has inflammation which could indicate something caused by his bout with Covid in the spring, if he does they'll put him on an immunosuppressant.
That's the gist of two updates from the hospital. one in the morning and one in the afternoon. After each one I called The Kid, and John, andmashfanficchick.
I Skyped the FWiB, who is being very supportive and keeping me amused, and I called Middle Brother, bcause Oldest Brother should have been calling him. I told him Oldest Brother was sick and couldn't call, but not any details.
I called my dinner in from Seamless, because I didn't want to do anything else.
John Ivon called to ask what happened. So I'll be updating him as i hear things too.
Fed the cat but not the turtle as she didn't seem hungry. I hope there's nothing wrong with her now.
Finished reading Angel Mage, liked it but not as much as the Left-handed Booksellers of London.
I'm going to call out from work tomorrow.
