New Computer

silver_chipmunkThe irony is (and this is so embarrassing) that after I had bought the new computer and brought it home, I discovered what was wrong with my old computer. It had gotten unplugged, which I didn't notice, and the battery ran down. When I realized that, I plugged it in and it started right up.
But I needed a new computer anyway, the old one is over seven years old, I forget exactly when I got it, but considerably before I moved to this apartment. And the case is warped out of alignment, and I was having trouble with Zoom calls, which I HOPE were the computer's problem, not my WiFi.
So I have a new laptop computer. It's essentially like the old one, same physical size, both HP, this one has more memory and an Intel processor. I went out to Best Buy after I got up this morning and breakfasted and showered and dressed, and picked it out.
The downside is it doesn't have Microsoft Office, so I'll have to either pay for it, or download a free word processing program. But that's the only minus.
And after I brought it home,mashfanficchick and zer mother brought over the arrowhead case that the Kid had at her apartment, and brought me Starbucks, and we had a nice conversation.
Then i spent the day setting up the new computer, which I've mostly done though I still need to download Discord. I Skyped the FWiB, and it was much better than the old computer.
I called Middle Brother at 8:30, I was wrong, his day program hasn't started again. But it should soon I hope. And I called Oldest Brother three times as usual. And I called the Kid but she didn't pick up.
So that was my day. No reactions to the vaccination yet except my arm is a little stiff.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. Two working computers.
3. Friends.
4. My brothers are OK.
5. Warmer weather coming.
6. I got the preorder of Paladin's Strength and it downloaded to my Nook correctly without fuss.
