Happy Thanksgiving!

silver_chipmunkEverything worked out the way it was supposed to, and all was well.
Got up this morning to a phone call from Middle Brother's group home manager, he managed to forget his meds. So she drove them in to us! And the copy of his covid vaccination card, which was good to have (though they never asked us at the restaurant). After that we had breakfast and watched the Macy's parade on TV. I Skyped the FWiB for a bit, though it wasn't really satisfactory, for some reason the audio kept fading in and out.
Anyway, at 12, after the parade ended, we started listening to my Pandora station and at 1 I got us an Uber and we headed over to the restaurant.
Then the Kid called. She got to the nursing home to get Oldest Brother and they told her someone had already checked him out! Well it turns out of course it was a paperwork mix-up, but it was kind of upsetting. But she got it straightened out and got him into the wheelchair taxi, and got him and herself over to the restaurant.
So we had a really good meal, huge portions, the food was yummy, everything was really nice, but expensive. I put it on plastic of course and will pay it off bit by bit.
The Kid then left for Vermont. and Middle Brother and I got Oldest Brother back in a cab and back to his place. Then we walked to the 28 bus and took that to the center of flushing and then got the 44 to Jamaica where we got a train to Hicksville where we were met by the manager of the group home and I turned him over.
Came back the way I left and was home by 8:30 or so. Skyped the FWiB again, and the kid texted she arrived in Vermont safely.
Called Oldest Brother and told him everyone was safe where they should be.
Then went and lay down to relax till it was time to feed the pets.
And that was Thanksgiving.
Tomorrow I head up to Vermont myself, by train. And will most likely be out of internet contact till I return home so this is it till Sunday night or Monday.
