Regular sort of day

Last night when I got up to go to the bathroom I found that the new Ben Aaronovitch Rivers of London novel that I had preordered for my Nook was available, so I took the time to download it. I don't know why that's necessary, preorders that arrive should download automatically when you turn on the Nook, but for some reason I have to find them in my library and then manually download them. Which isn't really too much of a bother, but I shouldn't have to.

Anyway, made it to work on time despite oversleeping. I heard about the shooting in Brooklyn, thank God no one was killed. Called the Kid to make sure she wasn't affected, because the coffee shop is in Brooklyn. She was OK, and still at home.

Had the BBFT optional chat which was a lot of fun. Then after lunch I did the Teen Lounge, which wasn't quite as successful as other days, but came in at 9 kids.

Came home and called Oldest Brother for the second time, then Skyped the FWiB. Then had my Al-anon meeting by Zoom, which was very good.

After dinner I called Oldest Brother for the third time, then the Kid. All is OK.

My friend Herschel's mother died this morning, not unexpected. I sent my condolences.

Gratitude List:

2. The day that started out rainy and nasty turned very nice.

4. Got 9 kids for the Teen Lounge.

My best guess is in case you don't have room, you can decide what to remove before downloading something new.

I'm so sorry about Herschel's mother. :(

That's possible, as I say it's not a real problem, it's pretty easy to do.
