Fourth of July

silver_chipmunkI can't summon my usual enthusiasm for the 4th this year. But despite it all, I had a pretty good one.
Got up at a reasonable hour considering the time I got to bed, and breakfasted and coffeed. Calledmashfanficchick about what time I should be over and ze said 1 or 1:30.
Showered, dressed, and headed over, got there around 1:30. We hung out for a few hours, then had our pseudo-barbeque. Cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and fries. Very yummy. Finally after some more just hanging out,mashfanficchick, Mandy, and I went to Carvel. They had mint soft ice cream! Then Mandy brought us back, and she left for home.
I continued hanging out withmashfanficchick and zer mother. We watched the Macy's fireworks on TV at 9:30, and they were, I am sad to say, underwhelming this year. But it was fun. We were paying attention to the Mets game too, and they won this time.
After the fireworks they brought me home, and I fed the cat and turtle. I Skyped the FWiB, and now it's time for bed.
I called Oldest Brother the usual three times. I didn't call the Kid because she's out tonight, but I texted her.
And that was my Fourth of July.
