Turtle to the vet

silver_chipmunkGot up a bit later than I should have, but was ready in time anyway. mashfanficchick and zer mother picked me and the turtle up and we went into Manhattan to the vet. We got there early enough that we had coffee first from Starbucks.
The vet examined Christie and said she looks better. He said I should get a better UV bulb, they sell them there, and if she wasn't back to normal in two weeks, bring her back for more tests. She is eating now, just not normally, so I have hope that she'll gradually improve over the two weeks and I won't have to bring her in.
After that we got food from a pizza place, I got two slices of white mushroom pizza. It was delicious. Then we came back to Queens and I took Christie in and installed the new bulb and returned her to her tank.
Then we went shopping. First to Target, where I got some things for Middle Brother, and a pair of penguin socks for me. Then we went to T J Maxx where I got a pair of shoes which I needed because my sneakers are wearing out and I can't wear them all winter anyway. I also got something formashfanficchick's mother. Finally we went to BJ's and did food shopping. I got some stuff, which I needed.
By then it was latish so they brought me home and I called Oldest Brother for the second time and then Skyped the FWiB.
After that I puttered on the computer and then went and lay down till it was time to call Middle Brother. He is fine, went out somewhere yesterday. I put in a Shipt order which will be delivered tomorrow morning. And I played solitaire till it was time to call Oldest Brother for the third time. Then I called the Kid, and told her what the vet said.
I played more solitaire, and read a little till it was time for pet feeding. The turtle ate a little, not much. But that's three times today she's eaten a little.
Tomorrow is my second floating holiday. I'm going over tomashfanficchick's place and helping zer out with some stuff.
