Had horrible insomnia last night

silver_chipmunkThe kind of insomnia where your brain keeps racing and you can't settle down. I ended up trying to locate the title of a book I read as a teen by Googling on my phone over and over different combinations of words from the plot. Then I remembered two words from the title, and figured out it was Max's Wonderful Delicatessen. So I went a little irresponsible and ordered a copy from Amazon for $35, only to discover that I could have gotten it from AbeBooks for $13. But that tired me out enough I finally fell asleep, only to wake up for awhile at 4:30.
The result of all this was that I could not get up. I ended up being an hour and 40 minutes late. And I was super tired all day. I dozed during lunch. Fortunately it was a very quiet day.
Came home and called Oldest Brother for the second time, andmashfanficchick about plans for tomorrow. Then I called the Kid who didn't pick up.
I went and lay down for awhile meaning to read, but just fiddled on my phone, then came back out and Skyped the FWiB. We talked for an hour, and then I had dinner.
I called Oldest Brother for the third time, and I called the Kid again. who still didn't pick up. I fiddled on my phone, and then fell asleep for about and hour and a half. I hope that doesn't mean I can't sleep at night tonight again.
So that was the day. I put up two Halloween decorations, I will probably put up more tomorrow.

3. Lovely weather.
4. Quiet day.
5. Coffee.
6. Bed soon.
