Wellness Day

silver_chipmunkI got up on time this morning, and made it to the bus stop exactly on time. Great! Then.. the bus never came. There was a woman waiting there from one bus earlier than me, and that bus never came. I was there until 5 after 10, and the final straw was when there was an accident in the center of the intersection, not a bad one, but blocking the intersection.
I decided the day was cursed, and called in and took a wellness day. I went home and went back to bed.
I finally got up at somewhat after 12 and called the old nursing home to try and get the email address of the person I need to send the information about the "lost" items to. Left a message on voice mail, got no call back.
I also made the appointment for the CAT scans for my oncologist, for this coming Friday. So fingers crossed on how they go.
I textedmashfanficchick and around 2 ze called me that they were just leaving. So I got ready and went out with them. First we went to Target and picked up the cat treats i ordered yesterday. Then we went to Qdoba for lunch. I got the brisket quesadillas. Very yummy.
After that we went to zer mother's house for awhile, and then to zer apartment and hung out. Ze has a friend staying for a few days, so i met her.
Then they brought me home and I Skyped the FWiB for awhile. He got his new dental work put in, and he looks good.
In the mail I got the check for the Google class action settlement. A whole, whopping $7.70! But better than nothing.
So that was my wellness day One other left to take before I retire since I don't get anything for it if i don't take it. (We get two "wellness days" a year, neither annual leave or sick time, or floating holidays, just two days we can take whenever we want)
