I had my first barium scan at age 12, which is kind of amazing to remember now. I found the solution very hard to drink, since my main symptom was nausea, but I kept it down. Surprise: there was nothing wrong with me...that was the beginning of the trouble I still have, whee! Hope your scans are uneventful.
