Mother's Day

silver_chipmunkGot to see the Kid after all! Last night at 1:12 am she called and said she and her boyfriend were going to Westchester for something for his mother, and they would stop here on the way back.
So this morning I got up and had breakfast and coffee, then showered and dressed. I put some more stories on the Starsky and hutch archive.
The FWiB had sometime so we Skyped early, and that was nice. After that I did a little housecleaning to make things a bit better when the Kid got here.
She arrived around 4, and brought me a lovely card, some leftover chocolate chip coffee cake, and a beautiful African violet, and some plant food for it. I hope I can keep it alive!
She didn't stay long, but it was a wonderful treat anyway. I saw her to her car and said hello to the boyfriend. When I'm off crutches we'll have a visit to the Botanical Gardens.
Anyway, after that I took a bit of a nap, and finally Skyped the FWiB again for awhile. It was time to call Middle Brother while we were talking, so I did that. He took a hike today and enjoyed it. After that I had dinner, and lay down and played solitaire for awhile til pet feeding time.
