Bad news from Rochester

silver_chipmunkGot up this morning for a call from my therapist, which was nice. Then I had breakfast and coffee, and started doing some cleaning.
I cleaned the remaining area between the coffee table and the glass cabinet, and emptied my very overful trash can, and got everything in either garbage or recycling bags.
Then I got on the computer to take a break, and Facebook, and found out that Lynn S, the college friend in Rochester that I see for a few days in the summer when I'm up at the cottage, has pancreatic cancer, and about 4 to 6 years to live.
I don't quite know what I'm feeling. It's a shock to say the least. It's not like he is such a big part of my life now, though as I say I try to see him every summer when I go upstate, but he's a big part of my past. (Yes, Lynn is a he. No, he's not trans, that's just his name)
Anyway, that's all I can say. There's something else going on too which I shouldn't write about, but as a result I'm really not in a good place now.
I took the bags out and walked around the block twice.
At 4 I took a shower and got dressed. At 5:15 I left to go to my meeting in the Bronx. I had pizza for dinner. The meeting was very good. C took me to the bus stop afterward.
I got home and Skyped the FWiB. Then I fed the pets, and now I'm going to bed.

2. My meetings and the people there.
3. Cleaner living room.
4. Friends.
5. Pizza.
6. Sunflowers blooming.
