Got up around 11, after lounging in bed since 10:30. Had breakfast and coffee, puttered online for awhile.
Finally I went and took a shower and washed my hair. Got dressed, and did a little bit of cleaning. Then I lay down and read. I'm working on The Documents in the Case, which is the only non-Peter Wimsey novel Dorothy L Sayers wrote. The Kid texted me, a cute picture of her cat Carmina.
At 5:15 I started getting ready to go out. I gathered the old medicines I had leftover from when I had the lumpectomy and the chemo, pain killers and anti-nauseas. Got the bus into Flushing and went to the Duane Reade and dropped them in their disposal bin. So that's taken care of.
Then I got on the subway and went to
mashfanficchick's place. I was running early, so I stopped at Starbucks and got a pumpkin spice latte. Then I went to zer place, and we had dinner.
We had Thai food, I had pork pad Thai. It was pretty good. Then we briefly went outside to see if we could see the aurora borealis, which was supposed to be visible from the city tonight, but we couldn't.
We came back in just in time for this week's episode of 911. No spoilers, but it was very exciting, and the ending of the three part episode was very satisfying. At 8:30, during the commercials, I called Middle Brother. He is fine, nothing new.
Then we had dessert, some chocolate gluten free pastries, which were very good. I had two which I will regret when I weigh myself tomorrow, but oh well. I'll watch myself this weekend.
Finally we took an Uber together, ze going to the LIRR station to get the train to zer father's, and me home.
I got here just in time to feed the pets, which I did, and then Skype the FWiB.
And that's the day.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2.
mashfanficchick.
3. Good TV.
4. Thai food.
5. Clean hair.
6. Disposed of old medicines.
