Another day wasted waiting

silver_chipmunkI woke up at 10 and got out of bed at 11. I had breakfast and coffee, and then called about my sink.
The guy said he was calling the super and someone would come today. So I waited. And waited. In the meantime I got and filled out a consent form for Middle Brother to have a flu shot. And I texted the Kid and we made plans for the Sunday before thanksgiving to go to the New York Botanical Gardens for their holiday train show.
But aside from that i mostly just waited, puttered online, and emailed the FWiB.
Finally at 4:10 I called back. The guy once again called to remind them and said if no one came by 5 they'd come in the morning. No one came.
Some very basic research tells me that a nonfunctioning kitchen sink is a class C violation, and must be fixed by the landlord within 24 hours. I don't want to start threatening but this is getting ridiculous.
Anyway, at 5 I went and showered and dressed. At 6 I went out and mailed the consent form and went tomashfanficchick's place for 911. It was an excellent episode! We had dinner first, I had shrimp pad Thai.
At 8:30 during the commercials I called Middle Brother. He's fine and looking forward to Halloween.
After 911mashfanficchick called Dani, and put her on speaker and we had a nice three way visit.
Then after that I Ubered home, and Skyped the FWiB. Only for a few minutes, alas.
And now it's time for bed since I have to be up early in case they actually show up for the sink.
