Election Day
Ignoring the returns for now.
Got up at 10 and had breakfast and coffee. At 11:10 they called from Oldest Brother's nursing home and we had the conference. I didn't really find out anything I didn't know though. They are going to have the doctor talk to the surgeon about the gallbladder issue, and consult with the urologist abut the Foley catheter.
Anyway, after that I took a shower and dressed, and went down to vote. I met a guy on the way who was looking for the polling place so I told him I was heading there myself. There was a line, and they were having issues with the ballot scanners. I got on what I thought was the line for the privacy booths, only to find out it was the line for the scanners, and I had to start over, ging to the privacy booth and then getting on the scanner line again. Then I had to submit my ballot three times before it took, But I finally got done and left.
Came home, it was a little after 1, I called the Kid. She also had just finished voting, and we had a nice conversation. Then I killed time til just before 2 and then went and got my laundry, My coat came out just fine, I am happy to say.
For the rest of the day I was antsy. Didn't even try reading at first. I played solitaire on my phone, and read Facebook and Bluesky and Ship-of-fools. and on and on.
Finally it was 7 and I Skyped the FWiB til my Al-anon meeting at 8. All good. Then I calledmashfanficchick about plans for tomorrow. She isn't feeling well though so we'll see tomorrow.
Then I had dinner, and went and lay down and read more in the book I'm reading.
And then it was pet feeding time.
