Plans changed

silver_chipmunkI was planning to stay in today, but when I got up at 10 (my body saying it was 9 because of the time change) I called mashfanficchick and learned that ze was going to the Queens Center mall, and did I want to come? So I said yes, and got up and had breakfast and coffee, showered and dressed, and called zer to say I was on my way.
And we couldn't make a connection. We tried calling each other multiple times, either I couldn't hear zer though ze could hear me, or ze couldn't hear me, but I could hear zer. Weird. So we texted plans instead and I set out.
Took the 44 bus to the subway, then the 7 to the R, and then to Woodhaven Blvd for the mall. I got there first, and we discovered that, although ze had called zer father, and got through to him fine, we still couldn't connect. I texted my location.
While I was waiting, I made a test call to the Kid but she didn't pick up. So I called the FWiB, and we could hear each other fine. Weird, as I said.
Ze met me, and we went shopping for rain boots for zer. I forget where all we tried, but ze eventually found something good. While ze was trying them on, the Kid called me and I could hear her and she could hear me. So after we talked,mashfanficchick and I tried again and this time we could hear each other, so apparently whatever the issue was it got fixed.
We went to the food court and got sushi from the sushi place that has a conveyor belt, and you pick what you want off it and pay based on what you took. It was delicious and not too expensive.
Then we took the bus to the other mall that down Queens Blvd. and went to Lidle and did some food shopping.
Then we split up to go home. I got here a little after 5:00, and cleaned the cat pan. I puttered online and put in a Shipt order, small because I really should be boycotting Target for these 40 days of Lent, but I needed stuff badly, and realistically Target was the best place to have Shipt get it all.
A while after 7:00 I Skyped the FWiB. We talked a nice long time. At 8:30 we took a break and I called Middle Brother. He is looking forward to his birthday party on Tuesday.
After the FWiB and I got done, I wrapped Middle Brother's birthday presents. Then I had a snack for a small dinner, and went to the bedroom and played solitaire til pet feeding time.
Then I fed the pets, and here I am.
Gratitude List:
