Birthday for Middle Brother

silver_chipmunkWell actually his birthday is tomorrow but we celebrated today cause that's when RK could drive us.
Woke up at 9:30 and got out of bed at 10:00. Showered and dressed. RK, who had had an early doctor's appointment, met us at a bit after 11:00. We picked up a book for Middle Brother atmashfanficchick's mother's house, and then went to Starbucks. I got a lavender oatmilk latte. Yummy.
Then we went out to Smithtown to Middle Brother's group home and picked him up. He was waiting at the door, cause we were a few minutes after 12:00, but I had told him we might be so he wasn't upset.
Then we went to Applebee's for lunch. I had the Tex-Mex shrimp bowl. It was really good. Middle Brother had his usual cheeseburger and fries. I called the Kid, and she called me back to wish him a Happy Birthday.
Then we went to Carvel, wheremashfanficchick had arranged for us to have a Carvel birthday cake. We brought plates and forks and candles and a lighter with us. We knew they had seating so we knew we'd be able to have it there.
The only problem was that we forgot to have them take it out of the freezer early so it was hard as a rock, butmashfanficchick managed to get it cut into four. It was delicious as all Carvel cakes are.
While we were waiting a little while for it to soften, he opened his presents, and was pleased with them.
After we ate, we cleaned up, and then took him back to his group home. Mission accomplished.
Then RK drove us to an H Mart wheremashfanficchick got some bottles of iced tea, and then drove first mashfanficchick home and then me.
I puttered online until 7:00 when I Skyped the FWiB. He finally is getting antibiotics for the cough. They should arrive in the mail tomorrow.
We talked until 8:00 when I had my Al-anon meeting. M didn't come, which was worrying, but S was there. It was a good meeting.
After that I had a snack for dinner, and went to the bedroom to play solitaire, I dozed off for awhile but eventually Oreo got me up for pet feeding time.
Tonight I will start another Agatha Christie.
