Shopping for real

silver_chipmunkGot up this morning at 10:00, and had breakfast and coffee. Showered and dressed, and headed out for the Skyview Mall.
Took the 20 bus, and walked down Roosevelt Ave. In the mall I went straight to Old Navy, and tried on two pairs of jeans. I picked the one that fit best, and then looked around the store. Found some Halloween tee shirts that were reduced in price... it's only October 1st, Halloween stuff should be just gearing up! Not reduced already! But since I liked the tee shirts, I won't complain too much.
Anyway, I picked two tee shirts, one with a jack o' lantern that says "Spooky Season", and a black one with a pattern of little jack o' lanterns.
Then when I went to pay for them, the cashier asked if I wanted to apply for an Old Navy credit car. I used to have one that was cancelled cause I never used it, and there was an automatic 30% discount for applying, so I fell to temptation and said yes. So I applied and got it. Just what I need, more credit debt.
Anyway, after that I went to Target and got a small bag of candy corn, and browsed the Halloween stuff. Didn't get anything though.
I also walked through Burlington, and Marshalls, but didn't buy anything there.
That was all, and I headed home. I walked up Roosevelt Ave, and as I passed the Bland Houses (yes that's really their name, it's a HYCHA housing project, named after someone named James Bland) I stopped to watch a cute squirrel eating an acorn. I took a picture, that somehow I had set as video, sp I have a video of a squirrel nibbling. Very cute.
Came back home, stopping at the bank first to use the atm, and spent the rest of the afternoon online. I di some financial things, paid a bill, checked on other stuff.
Then at 7:00 as usual I Teamed the FWiB. We talked til 8:00 when I went to my gaming session, not D&D, but Monster of the Week. We finished off the poutine monster just by 10:00.
Then I called the Kid but she didn't answer so I texted. I needed to know about seeing Cousin Steve and family on the 25 and 26. Then I fed the pets and had dinner, and started here.
The Kid texted back, that no they can't make it, so I'll have to contact Steve and tell him. Bummer.
Oh, the Discord was much better behaved this week, still not perfect, but usable.
