Queens Botanical Gardens

silver_chipmunkI got up at 11:00 and had breakfast and coffee, then showered and dressed. Then I went by bus to the Queens Botanical Gardens!
The entrance fee is only $4 for seniors, and senior starts at age 62 so I qualify. I walked around and took lots and lots of pictures. They were all decorated for Halloween, and there were some nice fall flowers. There were also a huge number of squirrels, more than I've seen in one place in a long time, if ever. I assume they were stuffing themselves for winter, but they were soooo cuuuute! I love squirrels.
I went to the gift shop and bought a tee shirt that says "Dogs have masters. Cats have staff", with a cat. I also bought a small pumpkin, cause I felt bad not having a real pumpkin for Halloween,
I stayed a couple of hours, but I didn't take the long walk through the tree covered fields cause the trees are almost all bare so there wasn't much to see there. And it was a bit chilly, so eventually I came home.
I had lunch, and then I got busy and posted my story on fanfiction.net, AO3, and the Starsky and Hutch archive. For anyone interested, it's here on ffnet: Starsky's Halloween

mashfanficchick called to ask if, since ze was near a different Petco, I wanted zer to see if they had Christie's turtle food. I said yes, so ze checked and bought a can and brought it over.
I Teamed the FWiB, and we talked until until 8:00 when I had my gaming.mashfanficchick arrived then with the turtle food too.
Amazingly Discord worked perfectly during the gaming session! Even when I logged into Roll20, and when I used the chat in Discord, which previously had messed it up. Thed game was fun, we're investigating.
We ended at 10:00 and I fed the pets, had my own dinner, and started here.
