Tax prep day

silver_chipmunkI got up at 10:00 and had breakfast and coffee, then showered and dressed. Then it was about 12:30 so I killed time til 1:00 and then left for my 2:00 appointment with the tax preparer.
I got to college point quite early, about 1:40, but he took me then and it didn't take long. Sadly since I'm now living on my pension and not working, the days of big refunds are over. I got a very small one, barely enough to cover the cost of getting my taxes done. But it's OK< they're done for the year.
College Point is very different from when I lived there. And the place where I used to get my face waxed, Pink Nails, is gone. So I didn't get my face waxed today. I did go into a new store and look around, and bought a new phone charger.
Then I came home and puttered around, getting the TV ready to watch my shows tonight. At 5:00 I went and lay down for awhile til 6:30, and then came out and got the computer ready to Team the FWiB at 7:00. I put the TV on and turned down the volume.
At 7:00 we Teamed until it was time for my shows at 8:00. It's not as fun watching alone withoutmashfanficchick. Ze'll be watching them in a day or so on zer laptop, so we can talk about them then.
I called Middle Brother at 8:30. He got the Easter basket already and was reading Horton Hatches the Egg. I'm glad he enjoys it! He went to the eye doctor this morning for a checkup and then Target and 5 Below.
After 911:Nashville, I fed the pets and made my dinner, and started here. And that's the day.
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2. My taxes are done.

4. Texted the Kid and she answered.
5. Good TV.
6. I saw forsythia in bloom.
