Girls night out

Work was busy today but I got through it.

The rain was awful. No one turned up at my meeting which was a bummer. But then I went to City Island to meet up with J and her friends and we had a great time. The food was good and the company delightful.

Got a ride home, now ready for bed.

Quiet day

Went to my meeting in the morning, I was the speaker which was an interesting experience, though I've done it before. The shocker of the day was finding the church wants to raise the meeting's rent from $60 a month to $200 a month!! That is to my mind an unreasonable jump. More like a passive-aggressive way of saying "get lost". We will see what happens.

Came home and took a nap, then puttered on the computer, did some housework, and went shopping. Called The Kid, she's supposed to call me back but hasn't yet.

Nothing else new. Bed and some reading shortly.
