A Day at Roosevelt Field

Though actually that was the second half of the day. Started by getting up at a slightly more reasonable time than yesterday, and getting dressed and showered and going out for breakfast at the bagel place. Then walked to Dunkin' Donuts to get more coffee K-cups. Did a little houseworky sort of stuff, and puttered on the computer. Posted the two Batman fics, and one more Starsky and Hutch on AO3.

Then mashfanficchick and her mothr and Mandy picked me up and we went to Roosevelt Field. Boy has it changed since I was a kid! The only store other than the big anchor department stores that I saw that I remember from when I was a kid is Long Island Catholic supply... which I remember well but have never actually patronized, not being Catholic. Anyway we ate at the upgraded food court, I had pad Thai from a Thai place, it was OK, but I've had better. And we shopped. I bought a sweat shirt with penguins on it, very nice and fancy, actually nice enough to wear to work.

Oh, and there were Girl Scouts selling cookies!!! YUMMY! I bought three boxes.

Then we went to Panera Bread and had stuff to drink, and talked, and then we came home.

Called the FWiB, no answer.

Star Wars

Oldest Brother and I took Middle Brother to see the new Star Wars movie today. He hadn't seen it yet, for some reason the group home missed taking the clients. So anyway, we were lucky it was still playing in Queens, only one theater still had it, so that's where we went. It was at 4:00 so we ate first, at Five Guys as usual, and then we had a good bit of time to kill until the show. It held up to a second viewing very well, and Middle brother loved it.

And that was my day pretty much. Nothing more to say. One more day left of my vacation, back to work On Monday.
