Thanksgiving Eve

We closed at 3:00 today which meant getting to work at 9:00. After work I met up with mashfanficchick and her mother and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and Carvel, and then to Barnes and Noble. Stayed in the book store for hours, had a good time, got several Christmas presents out of the way. Then we went to a pizza place for late night snack, and then I came home. Texted with The Kid to get things straight for tomorrow. Looking forward to it!

Hope you're day is wonderful. I'm waiting for The Kid to pick me up and then we'll be out to the restaurant.

Thanksgiving was lovely

And I hope all of yours was too.

The Kid and SIL picked me up, we got to the restaurant a bit late because there was heavy traffic on the LIE, but in the long run that didn't matter. Oldest Brother, Middle Brother and Aunt Helen were already seated, so we joined them. The food was, as last year, excellent, and I'm afraid we all stuffed. Sadly it had to end, Oldest Brother had to get to work, Middle Brother had to be taken back to his group home to meet the person who was taking him to her home for the evening (the group home has no one there Thanksgiving so since he wouldn't be with us all day he had to go home with someone, this is what they do with the clients, rather nice I think) and of course The Kid and SIL had to get home. So we took Aunt Helen home first and saw her into the house, and then they took me home. And I have spent the rest of the evening rereading the Rivers of London books. Into the second one now.
