The plumbers visit

They showed up early, a little after 8, and I was still in bed. Pulled on sweatpants and stumbled to the door, and said "you're early". He said they'd come back. They did, while I was eating breakfast. I locked the cats in the bedroom and let them in.

I spent most of the day in the bedroom with the cats. I think the job is done, except that the new pipes they installed in the kitchen have duct tape all around on the floor and ceiling. I don't know... And they left the kitchen window open and Sybil almost got out but I spotted her investigating it and removed her and shut it.

Anyway, mashfanficchick came over and brought me food so I didn't starve, and after I was convinced they weren't coming back (they didn't even call out "we're done" or anything like that when they left) we went out for a walk. Investigated some Asian food places in town, and marked out one in particular that we decided to have dinner at when her mother got back from New Jersey.

And that's what we did. Had a Vietnamese I think soup called pho. Very tasty.

The FWiB didn't call. Either his family stayed very late and he fell asleep or the phone (remember the problems I mentioned yesterday?) totally gave out. *sigh*

Now time for bed.
