Finally got the estimate

Didn't do much today but read, which is annoying as I meant to do some cleaning. I got another certified letter fro the management company about the inspection Wednesday. And a visit from a political canvasser, but I got to the door too late after he or she rang, and just got the piece of literature they left. I did get breakfast out at Dunkin' Donuts.

Aside from that, I spoke to the FWiB, which as always was very nice.

And I finally got the estimate from the contractor, in a text message, about the cottage, nowhere near as bad as I expected, so that's good. We're not doing the deck though, maybe another year. I called Aunt Helen and talked about it with her, and I'm going to call or text the contractor tomorrow.

I tried calling The Kid again, and once more just got her voicemail. I know she's away at the Jersy shore for Labor Day weekend, though.
