Spending the night away again

The day started with a phone call from the FWiB, which was unexpected and nice, except that what he had to say was that his ipad wasn't working so he couldn't email during the day. But he got it working just before I finished work, so that was OK. Work was kind of boring but I got through it.

The FWiB called again at the usual time and we had a good talk. Then, just after we ended, and I was going to get dinner, I got a call from mashfanficchick with an invitation to go to dinner and then spend the night so we can get an early start on taking down the Halloween decorations tomorrow. So of course i said yes. We went (with her mother) to Friday's where I had fried shrimp.

Came back to her place where we have been hanging out and having ice cream.

Everyone remember to turn your clocks back an hour.

Didn't get to take down the Halloween decorations

Because it rained all day and we didn't want to take down decorations in the rain, and besides, where would we put wet decorations?

So we slept late, then went first to Starbucks for coffee and then to Jahn's for brunch. I had pancakes which were lovely.

The Kid called, and we had a nice conversation. She sent me some pictures of her Halloween party, and we talked about Thanksgiving.

Then after Jahn's we went back to mashfanficchick's mother's place and did some things there, and then back to her place and did some stuff.

The FWiB called, there was a tornado warning there, and all the patients of the niirsing home had to wait in the center corridor of the building away from windows til the all clear.

We talked all day about the shooting in Texas. *sigh* Nothing ultimately will be done this time either.

But on the more cheerful side, Mueller is supposedly getting ready to indict Flynn and his son. So there's that.

Anyway, we finished up the day by dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. And mashfanficchick is trying to help Oldest Brother get some health insurance. This is why I am so grateful to have her as a friend.
