Small Business Saturday
Nov. 26th, 2017 01:50 amThe anti-Black Friday. Got together with
mashfanficchick and went first to her comic book store, where I bought two Rick and Morty stickers for $1.00 to give to the FWiB for Christmas. He is a Rick and Morty fan. I can just put them in a Christmas card and send them off.
Then we went into the city to Union Square to do the Holiday Fair. We had a great time, I got a little bit of my Christmas shopping done, not much. My phone got very low battery there, so
mashfanficchick let me use her phone for the FWib to call. We only talked briefly of course.
After the Fair we went to a Poke restaurant, my first time at one. It was delicious. For those who don't know, poke (there should be an accent mark over the e) is Hawaiian sushi. A bowl of rice with raw fish and toppings and sauce. Cause nothing says "holiday shopping" like raw fish and rice!
After that we wen to the Strand bookstore, and that's where I really shopped. I got stuff for quite a few people, and spent enough to qualify to get a free canvass Strand tote bag. I did get myself a book, but everything else was Christmas presents.
Then we went back to Forest Hills and got picked up at the subway stop by
mashfanficchick's mother. We decided to go for dessert, and ended up at Baskin and Robbins, where I got a mint chocolate chip milkshake. She let me use her phone again for my nightly call to Oldest Brother.
And then they brought me home, and I am quite ready to go to bed!
Gratitude List:
1. The FWiB.
2.
