Busy afternoon

Happy Father's Day to all appropriate. Since my father died and the ex-husband dropped out of sight it doesn't mean much to me any more, but I hope everyone enjoyed their day.

Got up and went out to Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast because my milk went bad. Then came home and read for the rest of the morning and early afternoon. That was the quiet bit.

Then at 2:45 I waited for mashfanficchick's mother to pick me and the turtle up and take us to the vet for her last shot. Not her last visit though, they want to see her again in a month for a follow up.

After we got back I dropped off Christie in her tank and scooted out as fast as I could to meet up with The Kid after she finished her hair appointment. She got done a lot earlier than I expected, so she went to Union Square and the poke place there and ate while I traveled to get there. She waited til I got there, and I got poke to go, and we headed for the Port Authority. Had a nice trip there, talked about her plans.

Saw her to the departure gate and then went and ate my poke, which was delicious, while watching part of the Mexico vs Germany World Cup game on big screen in the Port Authority. Then came home and when i reached Flushing I got a taro slush from Coco.

Came home and Skyped the Fwib. And since then have been reading my Harry Dresden short stories.

The door to the building is still out of order, it's taped open so people can get in at least.
