Witchs Fest

I got up and breakfasted and coffeed, and puttered on line, then went and lay back down for an hour or so. Then I got myself up, showered, dressed, and headed into Manhattan for Witchs Fest. I was a little disappointed it wasn't as big as last year, but it was fun walking around. It coincided with the Hell's Kitched flea market, so there were non-witchy vendors as well, and I found a depression glass donkey, it's actually supposed to be a lid for a jar, but there was just the lid. I have one like it already, but I bought this one anyway for $7. I also bought a pentacle necklace for Oldest Brother, at his request, and I got lunch for myself. Then I stayed til the end, and took part in the closing ceremony, which was chanting, drumming, and a little dancing.

Then I came home and Skyped the FWiB, he wasn't feeling to good, still sick, so we only talked for a short while.

At 8:30 or so I went out with mashfanficchick and her mother and we got Carvel because it's National Ice Cream Day, and the had a BOGO offer. We had to go to two different Carvels though because the one near where I used to live was only doing cones, not cups, and mashfanficchick can't have the cone.

Anyway, after that we went to a diner for a late dinner, and then back home. So, a good day all around.

BJs

Work was about normal, nothing special. I called the vet and made an appointment for Christy's follow-up visit, Wednesday at 8:30

Couldn't call the FWiB because he's been temporarily moved to a different room because half the nursing home is without air conditioning. So they moved him to a room in the half that does. And he has no phone, and no door, and it's loud and unpleasant. But we Skyped when I got home.

The mashfanficchick called and asked if I wanted to go to BJs. I said yes. She didn't mention dinner but I assumed, and sure enough we started out going to Buffalo Wild Wings. And then we went to BJ's, and I got cereal and Brie.

The Kid called while I was there. She has a new hobby, buying jewelry on the Good Will auction site. She sent me some pics, very nice stuff.

And that's about all there is to say.
