My first massage

I got together with mashfanficchick today, after having breakfast in Dunkin' Donuts because my milk had turned disgusting over night. I took the subway over to here place.

First she had to do shoe shopping for her step sister's wedding, but after that we went to a beauty place and got massages. She got a facial and her eyebrows done as well, but I just got a 30 minute massage. It was very relaxing. Hurt at times, but it was a good hurt, if you know what I mean. It had hot herbs, hot rocks, and hot towels.

After that her mother picked us up and we went out to Long Island, to the Nautical Mile in Freeport, to Jeremy's for dinner. That's the place that used to be Earhart's Clam Bar. We had to wait for a table for awhile but eventually we got one right on the deck overlooking the canal so we could watch the boat come by. I had the fried clam stris. Delicious!

After that we came back in to Queens, and went to Target. I got some more milk, and also a cute tee shirt that was on clearence.

Then we went to Baskin and Robbins for dessert. I had a hot fudge sundae made with pralines and cream ice cream. Wonderful!

And then home, and time for bed.

Didn't talk to the FWiB, bbut kept in touch through e-mail all day.

Labor Day

I slept late, then got up and breakfasted. Puttered on the computer, then went into the bedroom and read and dozed for a couple of hours.

Then got up and Skyped the FWiB. We didn't talk for long, but it was enjoyable.

Puttered on the computer some more, and then had dinner, and went back into the bedroom for another hour or so to read and call Oldest Brother (which I do every night, I just don't usually mention)

And that was basically my day. I've been reading Anne Perry, two of her Victorian mysteries. They are OK, but not, I think, as good as they used to be earlier in the series.

Back to work tomorrow, bah humbug.
