On vacation!

Work was OK, I did the teen lounge and it went very well.

After work I called the FWiB, and we talked but had some technical difficulties. I got off at 20th Ave and met mashfanficchick and her mother, and just as I was saying goodbye to the FWiB, The Kid called. So I talked to her, the got the written job offer, so it's official now. They gave notice to their landlord, and things progress.

Went to buffalo Wild Wings for dinner, then Target for some shopping, and then Carvel. Then back to my house where I picked up my luggage, and fed the cats and turtle and left them extra food. Then we did some banking, and then came here to mashfanficchick's place.

Tomorrow we head out to SHarecon!

Here at Con

Having a wonderful time so far. We got off this morning at a reasonable time, and got to the train just on time. The train trip was unremarkable, but crowded.

Took the shuttle to the hotel, rode with two other attendees. Checked in, and discovered that the hotel offers a free dinner weekday nights, so there was pasta. Which mashfanficchick couldn't have of course, so she ordered in, but I had, and we sat around talking with other attendees, and having a good time.

After dinner we helped set up the con room, and talked with more people.

And now we have settled into our room, which is amazing for what we're paying, huge, with a separate living room, with a kitchen area, and everything.

Tomorrow breakfast from 6 - 9, and then the con really starts!
