Day before Thanksgiving
Nov. 21st, 2018 10:10 pmWe closed at 3:00 today, which was nice but mean we all had to be in by 9:00. The day went smoothly.
I got an e-mail saying my new coat had arrived, and when I got home after work, sure enough it had.
Skyped the FWiB, who couldn't talk for long because his dinner was almost ready. Then I called the Kid and made arrangements for tomorrow. I'm meeting her and thr SIL at their new place and then we're going from there. Did I mention that RK is joining us for Thanksgiving? He didn't want to go with his girlfriend to a vegan place for dinner.
Skyped again with the FWiB after he had dinner, for a bit longer. Then went out with![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
mashfanficchick and her mother to get Carvel. Then we did some shopping. I got grocery store sushi for dinner... not great but OK, and cheap. Cause nothing says "shopping the day before Thanksgiving" like raw fish on rice.
And now I am going to start putting my clothes away and packing for my trip to Vermont.
The other night I downloaded the new Ben Aaronovitch, Lies Sleeping, to my Nook, and today I charged it, so I can take it with me to Vermont and read it on the train.
Gratitude List:
1. Oldest Brother heard from the insurance guy about the value of the car. Got a pretty good amount.
2. The FWiB.
3. 3:00 closing.
4. Good books.
5. Family.
