Sort of disappointing day

Work itself was fine. I did the teen lounge, and got 6 kids. An ok number.

After work, however I discovered the the phone system at the FWiB's nursing home is down for at least today and maybe several days. Which seems like a very bad idea for a nursing home. But anyway, I couldn't call him.

The mashfanficchick and her mother are in New Jersey, so they couldn't make it for Carvel.

However, on the brighter side, I had made arrangements with Oldest Brother to be here after work so I could give him the check for the money I'm loaning him, and he could help me change the light bulb that blew yesterday. He said he didn't mind if I took a brief interlude to Skype the FWiB, so I did, and we got to talk and see each other a little bit at least.

And then we went out for dinner at a Mexican grill, called Ole, and then Carvel. And we picked up my laundry from the laundromat too. Then we hung out here for awhile, and that was fun.

Also, the registration for the new hotel for Arisia opened up, and I registered for a room.

So the evening wasn't a total loss.
