First day with new hours

I was a bit late again today. Tomorrow, must get up on time.

Don't know yet about who's getting sent to City Island. Fingers crossed!

Went and read at the nursing home for the first time in ages. Pretty much the same as always. I guess some of the people get something out of it so it's worth it. And I did the gaming program with the teens. Got some older ones this time. 9 total. And we closed at 6:00 without any problems.

After work I came home and Skyped the FWiB. Didn't talk long, though, his coughing was bad.

And that's pretty much it for the day. Been reading the Firefly novel I got back awhile ago, it's OK, not great.

Gratitude List:

1. The FWiB.

2. No problems when we closed.

3. Extra Carvel sundae for dessert.

4. Bed soon.

5. Interesting books.

6. Didn't have to walk to the nursing home.

Edited to add: Should have said. It is 33 years ago today that the space shuttle Challenger blew up on launching. I was in graduate school at the time. Today I remember the seven crew members.
